The Team Behind PRONG PUTTING™
A garage-built idea turned into a putting tool built for brutal efficiency.
PRONG PUTTING™ was founded in 2021 by husband and wife team Scott and Meriel’ Peterich, who live in Central Florida and share a belief that golf practice should be simple, honest, and effective. What started as a frustration with inconsistent putting turned into sketches, prototypes, and adjustments that eventually became a design-patented training aid built for real surface feedback and repeatable muscle memory.
Scott and Meriel’ lead the company together. Scott drives the product vision, and Meriel’ builds the brand and business around it.
Scott Peterich II, Co-Founder and CEO
Scott is the creator of PRONG PUTTING™ and the mind behind its design. He grew up playing golf with his father, first swinging a club at two years old. Today, he competes in amateur events at his local club and is an active member of the Florida State Golf Association.
Scott is a Certified Financial Planner® and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Florida State University College of Business. His analytical mindset and strategic approach to problem solving carried naturally into product development. In his free time, he enjoys building custom golf clubs and experimenting with equipment setups to optimize performance.
He designed the first PRONG prototype in search of a training tool that offers real feedback without gimmicks. His goal was simple: create something honest, compact, durable, and capable of helping golfers build consistency through repetition.
Scott leads: product development, design innovation, manufacturing direction, and long-term company vision.
Meriel’ Peterich, Co-Founder and COO
Meriel’ brings the brand to life and helped guide PRONG from concept to commercialization. She holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing and Sales from the Florida State University College of Business, where she and Scott first met in 2009. She has built her career in marketing and currently works for a major national pet food company.
Meriel’ is an avid tennis player and has recently picked up golf, often joining Scott for weekend rounds and practice. Her passion is making PRONG PUTTING™ accessible for every golfer, creating a brand that feels premium, intuitive, and simple to use straight out of the bag.
Meriel’ leads: business operations, marketing strategy, partnerships, brand identity, and customer experience.
